The Bulldog Cast Head Coupler w/ Wedge Latch part # BDA256C0317 and others like it do not have any adjustment. They are set at the factory and sealed off basically from there. There can be slight variances in them when manufactured or there is the chance that the coupler itself was deformed slightly before you ever received it.

Currently Master Lock only offers their Adjustable Trailer Coupler Lock # 2847DAT as a set and the pin is not available separately. If you are replacing your current lunette ring, you will need to check on 2 measurements to make sure a coupler will fit your channel. First will be the width and second will be the hole spacing.

If you have a lot of excess slop in your coupler then you will likely need to replace the coupler latch. A coupler latch like the one in the Repair Kit for Titan Couplers # T1848700 will wear down over time and will need replaced when it wears down.

All of our channel mount trailer couplers fit a 2-7/8" or 3" channel so if you wanted to get one from us you'll need to cut off your old channel and weld on a new one like what we see with the Demco Channel and Coupler Kit # DM6125-81.

I recommend switching to the Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler # 12660-97SP on your 2017 Grand Design 2670MK. I cannot locate anyone who carries a replacement latch mechanism for the A-Frame Trailer Coupler # CA-5400-B. With the Demco you can easily replace the latch with the Repair Kit # DM6008.
